Touch Trivia Redesign
Date: November 2017
Platform: Desktop, Mobile, Tablet
Exploring a redesign of AT&T internal polling software used by thousands of employees per conference session.

Goals and objectives
The Touch Trivia application is an in-house trivia tool that was initially built as a hackathon project. Since then thousands of players have logged in during various events such as training sessions or quarterly executive town halls to test their trivia knowledge.

IDENTIFYING IMPROVEMENTS
Touch Trivia was created quickly without proper user journey analysis leading to breakdowns in user flow from sign in to joining a session. It was also created with non mobile-optimized buttons and interactions so it is difficult to use for the 95% of participants joining from a mobile device.
LIST OF IMPROVEMENTS
-
Created personalized branding for touch trivia.
-
Modernized color scheme and layout to improve readability and interactions on a mobile device.
-
Optimized user journey through the application to work best for the majority 95% joining from a mobile device during a trivia session.
WHO ARE THE USERS OF THE APPLICATION
Primary Audience: AT&T Employees and Contractors
Secondary Audience: AT&T Executives

Welcome Page
In order to update the welcome page I reduced the overall amount of text on the page and also removed the bullet points that were not relevant to all trivia types. I added a customized logo and made the colors more sophisticated and readable. Lastly I increased the padding to aid mobile users.

Run a Live Trivia Session
When running a live session I updated this design to have a clearer hierarchy of the required elements. I also created a simple yes / no toggle to choose specific settings. The user can now start a session using one page without having to scroll down and this is also a responsive mobile-friendly design.
